Sardine Dip with Labneh & Sundried Tomato Tapenade

A quick, creamy Mediterranean-style sardine dip with bold flavor and a smooth texture.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can sardines (drained)
  • 2 tbsp labneh or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Zejd sun-dried tomato tapenade
  • Juice of ½ lemon (or a squeeze, to taste)
  • 1 tbsp Zejd olive oil (plus extra to drizzle)
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Open the sardine can and drain excess oil if needed. Add sardines to a bowl.
  2. Mash the sardines well with a fork until smooth (or slightly chunky, depending on your preference).
  3. Add labneh (or Greek yogurt) and mix until creamy and well combined.
  4. Stir in Zejd sun-dried tomato tapenade for a rich, savory depth.
  5. Add lemon juice and salt, then mix again and adjust to taste.
  6. Drizzle in Zejd olive oil and give it a final stir.
  7. Serve immediately with bread, crackers, or as part of a mezze plate.
