
A quick, creamy Mediterranean-style sardine dip with bold flavor and a smooth texture.
Ingredients:
- 1 can sardines (drained)
- 2 tbsp labneh or Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp Zejd sun-dried tomato tapenade
- Juice of ½ lemon (or a squeeze, to taste)
- 1 tbsp Zejd olive oil (plus extra to drizzle)
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions:
- Open the sardine can and drain excess oil if needed. Add sardines to a bowl.
- Mash the sardines well with a fork until smooth (or slightly chunky, depending on your preference).
- Add labneh (or Greek yogurt) and mix until creamy and well combined.
- Stir in Zejd sun-dried tomato tapenade for a rich, savory depth.
- Add lemon juice and salt, then mix again and adjust to taste.
- Drizzle in Zejd olive oil and give it a final stir.
- Serve immediately with bread, crackers, or as part of a mezze plate.
