Baked camembert with garlic and rosemary

Baked camembert with garlic and rosemary is the ultimate warm and indulgent appetizer, perfect for sharing. It features a whole Camembert baked until irresistibly gooey, infused with thin slices of garlic and fragrant fresh rosemary for a rich, aromatic flavor. A drizzle of Zejd extra virgin olive oil enhances the creaminess and adds a smooth, peppery finish that ties everything together beautifully. Served straight from the oven in its wooden box, this dish pairs perfectly with a baguette, crostini, or crackers for dipping into the melted cheese.

INGREDIENTS
  • 250 g whole Camembert cheese, in wooden box
  • 2 cloves garlic very thinly sliced
  • 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoons Zejd extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 baguette or crostini or crackers

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven at 180C
2. Remove the plastic packaging and arrange the Camembert back in its wooden box, or in a small baking pot to prevent the cheese from melting and spreading all over.
3. Using a sharp knife, make a few slits on the top of the cheese.
4. Press garlic slices into the slits, top with fresh rosemary sprigs, and drizzle Zejd extra virgin olive oil.
5. Bake in the oven for 15-20 min until soft and melted on the inside.
6. Serve the baked Camembert warm with hot thin slices of baguette or crostini or crackers.
