Healthy Twix Bars

Skip the store-bought candy and make your own better-for-you Twix bars at home. This version uses wholesome ingredients like almond flour, peanut butter, and Zejd extra virgin olive oil to create the perfect blend of crunch, caramel, and chocolate—without the guilt.
INGREDIENTS
Base layer: - 1 ½ cups almond flour - 4 tbsp Zejd olive oil - 3 tbsp maple syrup - Pinch of salt Caramel layer: - ½ cup natural peanut butter - 2 tbsp Zejd olive oil - 2 tbsp maple syrup - ½ tsp vanilla extract - Pinch of salt Chocolate layer: - ¾ cup melted dark chocolate - 1 tbsp Zejd olive oil
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). In a bowl, mix the almond flour, olive oil, maple syrup, and salt until a dough forms. Press it evenly into a lined loaf pan and bake for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden. Let it cool completely.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, combine peanut butter, olive oil, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until smooth and slightly thickened. Pour over the cooled base and spread evenly. Freeze for 20–30 minutes until firm.
  3. Melt the chocolate and olive oil together until smooth. Pour over the caramel layer and spread evenly. Freeze again for 15–20 minutes until set. Slice into bars and enjoy straight from the fridge.
