INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup Zejd extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional for a smoky flavor)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Water, as needed for consistency
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the tomato paste, Zejd extra virgin olive oil, and apple cider vinegar until smooth.

  2. Add the honey or maple syrup (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

  3. Slowly add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired ketchup consistency.

  4. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.

  5. Transfer to a clean jar or airtight container.

Storage:
Store in the fridge and use within 2 weeks.
